Art:

The student-run publication Hill magazine is asking any and all talented UA student artists to submit a 2D piece of work (drawing, painting, digital art, etc.) to be published in our next magazine.

Hill publishes once each academic year at the end of November to showcase students’ in-depth reporting, photography, graphic design work and artwork, and this year we want to cast a wider net outside the journalism department to feature more student talent. The theme of the 2018 magazine is “No Longer Unspoken.” We hope the stories, photos, artwork and design stir conversation around experiences that students typically hesitate to discuss or even acknowledge. Your art submissions should interpret this theme.

The staff and editors will decide which submissions will be published in print and featured across our social media platforms. To enter the contest, please provide the following information along with a high-quality, scanned image of your work in an email to hillmag@uark.edu by Oct. 20 at midnight. Direct any questions or concerns to Hill Senior Illustrator Raleigh Anderson, rha003@uark.edu. Limit three entries per student.
